A full warehouse doesn’t always mean available inventory Your warehouse looks full. Pallets stacked, racks loaded, floor lanes choked with product. And yet someone just told you they can't fill an order because the item is showing zero on hand. Both things are true at the same time. That's the part that makes operators crazy. What's usually happening is a location problem, not a quantity problem. The units exist. They're just sitting somewhere the system doesn't expect them —

The system says it’s there. The shelf says otherwise. Your WMS says you have 48 units on hand. You send a picker to lane 7, rack C, and they come back with 11 units, a busted pallet, and a look on their face that says they are not surprised. The system was wrong. Again.
